Who we are
Stourwell Holdings is a private acquisition company, owned by Quillmoor Holdings.
We buy profitable small businesses in the UK, often from owners who are thinking about succession and want what they built to carry on. We keep what makes each business work, and help it modernise where that makes it stronger.
What we look for
Businesses that are already good at what they do. In practice, that usually means:
- a UK business that is established and profitable;
- steady demand, and customers who come back;
- an owner thinking about succession, retirement or stepping back;
- a team that knows the work and wants to keep doing it well;
- room to improve with better systems, tools or investment.
How we work with sellers
Selling a business you built is a personal decision. We try to make it a calm one.
Discreet
Conversations stay between you, your advisers and us. Staff, customers and suppliers hear about it when you decide, and from you first.
Buy to keep
We buy to own for the long term, not to sell on. We learn how the business works before we change anything, and invest where it will make a real difference.
Look after staff
The people who run the business day to day are much of what we are buying. We want them to stay, and we treat them that way, before the sale and after it.
